(More customer reviews)We bought this bike for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas.She loves purple and the components looked to be of decent quality.Arrived on time and the basic assembly was simple -- handlebars, wheels, seat.
BUT the quality was really bad.The breaks both stuck, the wheels had a wobble that caused them to rub (after I adjusted the brakes) and the gears needed serious adjustment -- they simply wouldn't work.And even after hours of work, they still don't work as good as my 10 year old bike.
I'm guessing that the Chinese factory that made it was overrun with orders and therefore skipped the whole quality testing/tuning step to get them on the boat.
Oh yeah, the manual is awful.Saved all the pages to publish in a bunch of languages and for every possible bike they make but has nothing useful for this bike.
Bottom line: spend the extra [...] to buy from a local dealer that will set the bike up right.
