(More customer reviews)I bought two of these lights for my sons to use on their bikes. I wanted to get away from using disposable batteries and thought that this would be a good "green" way go, but unfortunately it turns out that the entire unit should be considered disposable. It was more expensive than other solutions, but I really thought it would pay off in the long run since the product description said it is designed to "last through years of use before they are recommended for replacement."
Pros: It looks good in the package.
Cons:
1) The clamp that holds the light onto the bicycle is very poorly designed. Both of ours fell apart in a few months.
2) It takes a lot of cranking for 10 to 20 minutes of light. Not "easily and quickly" as promised.
3) After once a week (or less) of usage for a few months, the battery held less than a 10 minute charge. Then the batteries died completely, even though we always diligently tried to follow the directions for proper care. (We use other crank flashlights without any problems.)
This product was a complete failure.
